If your looking for a cool looking crittertail hamster cage for kids then you will want to check out this cage.  The Super Pet CritterTrail Extreme Challenge Habitat is brightly colored and great for boys and girls.  


This cage features a "petting area" where my hamster actually sleeps and goes so I can remove her for cage cleaning.  Also the wheel is a new design that almost looks like a alien antenna that allows your hamster to exercise, I notice far less squeaking that other wheels.

Just beware most hamsters do build their nest in the wheel for some reason.  Carefresh bedding works best for the cage and most crittertrail cages.

Check out this new Hamster cage from crittertrail.  The Super Pet Critter Trail Double Decker Habitat is a great cage for any hamster to live in.  This cage features two levels, most hamsters sleep or make a nest on the top level.  This cage is easy to clean and can be run under water to make it a little easier for the owner.


The wiring spacing is about 6mm making it perfect for small hamsters and mice.  Actual size 17-inch length by 11-inch width by 15-1/2-inch height.

The wheel can be a little squeaky but if you use a little Vaseline it will lube it up and be safe for your rodents.  Gerbils are not a good idea for these because it can be chewed up real easily.

The water bottle is made from quality material because even after years it does not leak, the wheel can be replaced with a metal mesh wheel in case you want to not bother with a squeaky wheel.

Super Pet CritterTrail One Habitat Review: Crittertrail Hamster Cage

This crittertrail hamster cage is perfect for dwarf hamsters.  I don't recommend it for larger hamsters because they will not fit in the tubes.  This is perfect for winter whites, dwarfs, chinese hamsters, mice, and gerbils.

This cage measures 10-Inch long, 16-inch wide, 11-inch high.  Which is great for a smaller hamster that you may have.  My two mice love this and go nuts on the wheel.  They start running the same way and one stops an keeps going around the wheel while the other runs.

Also the removable petting zone is perfect for them to sleep in or for you to take them out to clean the cage. 

I use about two handfuls of pine bedding or carefresh which is very little and that's why I love it.  The cage is also small enough to flush out in the bath tub or a outside hose. 

Includes quiet exercise wheel, water bottle and food dish. Also extra tubes can be attached to the cage.
